| Newspapers 1771-1890 All newspapers published in Finland and printed between 1771 and 1890 are indexed. The index is found in Helsinki University Library and there are also parts of it in other university libraries. Biographical notes are easy to find in the index. In the indexes one can also find information about unusual events, different places, etc. The database of Finnish newspapers is online and searchable for the time period 1771-1860. | Swedish-Finnish Newspapers All newspapers in Finland printed in Swedish from 1910 onwards are cut and indexed. If you need biographical data about some Swedish speaking person in Finland there is a possibility you will find information about the person in the index. There are obituaries, birthday announcements, etc. |

sotaveteraanikirjat I can help you with information about war veterans and soldiers killed in war from Alahärmä, Alajärvi, Alavus, Ilmajoki (only killed in the war 1939-44), Isokyrö, Jalasjärvi, Jurva, Karijoki, Kauhava, Kuortane, Kurikka, Laihia, Lappajärvi, Lapua, Nurmo, Peräseinäjoki, Soini, Töysä, Vimpeli, [Virrat], Ylistaro, and Ähtäri. There is a short biography about each soldier. The books cover the period 1939-1944. In most books there is information about soldiers killed in the war of independence in 1917. Seppo E.
